A voluntary pay cut for salaries 40K and higher 1-2 years

We recently learned that 59 of 247 eligible employees chose the voluntary separation program. I am sure many like me were not eligible for TRS and the University offer at this time. A voluntary pay reduction program like this might have more response and allow the university to plan better than being forced to make major cuts elsewhere.
